Here we have something that is more than on the right track. Hollow Sunshine are clearly fans of gazing at shoes, but that can be a pretty played out genre, and theyíve got so much more going on than just re-working MBV riffs into a different order. The album starts with the delicious ďCoralĒ, fizzing into earshot with some trad rumbling, before introducing mumbly vocals and some buried twinkles. Itís a lovely combo and it even has the decency to be done in 3 minutes and 36 seconds. The vocals really remind me of the amazing Man I Fell In Love with, and musically they arenít that far off either. HS definitely have a luscious chunkiness to their sound, it also brings to mind a long time favourite stonermo band, Chune. Youíll get your nod on to some pretty dreamy grooves throughout the course of this record. Thereís not a huge amount of variation over this album as it lumbers along at a gentle medium pace, but at no point does it lose me, itís rock solid from start to finish.

This is the kind of thing I liked to listen to when my sinuses are intent on ruining my life, and Iím stoned on lemsip. If you dig big riffs and woozy vocals and drifting in and out of consciousness then get yourself on this one, youíll be sorted.
