This 4 song collection has a really winning intro, some absolutely gorgeous guitar going on, but I’ve already seen the description. “Emo violence, post-hardcore, screamo”. So I know that any minute, a guy is going to come into earshot and scream the house down. That’s exactly what happens. So far, so trad. This is pretty intense stuff from Rennes in France. They have definitely got the melodic parts down nicely, that kind of riffy Yaphet Kotto type thing, and I much prefer screamo in this vein to the heavier more brutal side. The vocals are also excellent for the style, it’s just me personally, I’m not gonna go home and put on a record of a guy doing this any more. Though I did listen to Honeywell on the evening after the UK voted to leave the EU. Overall, my musical preferences aside, I think this is a good example of the style and will go down well with people that like to roll around on the floor.
