Cellophane b/w Stickin' it to the Man, Again

Year Released: 2017
Format: 7"

Two tracks of blank, woozy post-punk. 'Cellophane' sounds like a glue-sniffing Wipers gone goth, charging around the place with big, scything lumps of dark melody and congested, lost-in-a-headcold vocals. If that's the one to immediately grab your attention then B-side 'Stickin' it to the Man, Again' is the deeper, darker cut that’ll wear out your needle in the long run. It takes its time to build but is an absolute crasher when it does, augmented by the wild, squalling clarinet of (I think?) whoever parped so effectively over the top of that excellent Playboy 12".
