This one's been on my wants list for a few years now, so it's cool to have a nicely-done reissue to tide me over until fate or circumstance blesses me with an OG copy. Originally released on Irresponsible Records in 1983, I'd wager that pre-internet it was their appearance on the more readily-acquirable 'Not So Quiet On The Western Front' comp that put Bad Posture on most peoples' radars. That track 'GDMFSOB') offers a fair enough indicator as to what you're in for, which is eight tracks of snarling, unhinged early 80s hardcore that's shot through with enough aberrant weirdness to bear out the fact that they cross-pollinated with Flipper. Admittedly Bad Posture were fast and ugly rather than slow and ugly, but by the end of the second side they're definitely getting sketchier, gloopier and more antagonistic. The sonic side of things is complemented by few photocopied sheets featuring photos, flyers and a brief band history – scant backstory for sure, but given the relative mystery that surrounded them up 'til now I’m happy to take what I can get.
