Grinding, crust-blasted hardcore that stops off for the occasional death metal pit stop. Everything sounds sunken and murky, possessed of a sullen grunt-and-plop that makes you think of something grim being dragged from a stinking bog. For the first few minutes things have a clear cider-swilling, squat-dwelling Life Is Abuse vibe, suggesting comparisons with the likes of Stormcrow, Disrupt and early Brutal Truth. Once they've bedded in, however, the blasts give way to eerier overtones, with spacious moments and ringing notes that wouldn't sound out of place on the most recent Ataraxy record. It's good, wholesome, stick-to-your ribs stuff – not the best you'll ever here, but certainly gruesome enough to warrant your attention.
