Another release and another label for Dysrhythmia, who seem doomed to fly perpetually under the radar. Shame, really, because this is yet another majestic slice of future-metal, with Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice etc.) and pals testing sanity's frayed edges with these eight tracks, which combine mesmerising guitar lines, thoughtful bass excursions and the kind of drumming that'll cause your left eye to twitch uncontrollably. Despite the rupture-inducing technicality it's also highly musical, which allows for a choose-your-own-adventure set of options depending on the mood you're in – you can either skim the surface and let the bizarre fluidity of it sweep you giddily along or, alternatively, set aside a good chunk of time to try to figure out the codes, glyphs and impossible equations that seem to bring it all together.
