Gotta admit, I've been willing this one to work for me because of the title alone: that is precisely the negativity I need from my hardcore right now. Sadly, though, Concrete are an almost-not-quite kinda band, mixing 90s metalcore chun (think: Disembodied; Cold As Life) with occasional forays into squiggly death metal. While it's all generally fine there's something that prevents things from hanging together as a convincing whole, and while tracks like 'Psychological Crucifixion' hit home hard there are a few too many brickbats that fall just shy of their target.

The good: nice use of Broadrick-style programming. The bad: reminds me of Pitchshifter.
