A horrible hack

Yeah, this is cool. A rough, scruffy mix of washed-out shoegazey vagueness, fizzy bursts of 90s indie (think 'Bakesale'-era Sebadoh or Sonic Youth somewhere inbetween 'Dirty' and 'Experimental Jet Set...') and the occasional startling blast of white-hot rage. The overriding impression is of a tetchier Bitch Magnet or a snottier, messier and all-round less tuneful Malady, and, barring the odd moment where the singer sounds a bit too much like a feral child yowling up from the bottom of a well, it's all pretty top drawer. I like this plenty, and I'd wager a good few folks who pay attention to the grumblier, more cantankerous side of US indie will too.

The band name, album name and coverart pretty much gives away what one can expect of this release.
