2013 was a good year for awkward, antisocial rock music as far as Finland was concerned. As well as excellent LPs from Baxter Stockman and Throat this one also came lumbering huffily from the murk, Hebosagil proffering a grungey, metallised form of noise-rock that stands apart from their countrymen as far as sound is concerned but fits within the same grubby niche in terms of overall style and worldview. 'Lähtö' has the band sounding burlier and more menacing than ever, every riff hitting home with a hearty KER-CHUNGGGG! while the guttural, glottal vocals sound something like a kitchen waste disposal unit stubbornly chewing through chicken bones. Veering between lumpen lunges and hardcore-paced bursts of speed it's all immensely satisfying, suggesting a fondness for Helmet, Unsane and Big Black that might just have been predated by a similar love for 'Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide' and 'Chaos AD'.
