Do you like how I write reviews calling all sorts of music generic and dull, then straight after start raving about screamo, a genre that should have called it a day a long time ago. Okay, I have no real comeback to that. But in a world where (proper) screamo has restricted itself to a handful of bands, Capacities are doing a good job at coming up with their own decent sound. For me their highlight remains 2012s split with Coma Reglia in which contains four excellent tracks and seemed to already be the finished product. A 10'' followed that was solid as you like. And now we have an album. But I have to harken back to that "finished product" comment. They don't seem fresh like they used to and haven't come an awful long way since then. I prefer the earlier songs and a whole album, despite its short length, doesn't feel necessary. Everything is super tight and I bet they kill it live, but this isn't worth listening to. If I was them I'd work on upping the quality and lessen the quantity as they still have plenty of potential.
