Labels: Grave Mistake
Review by: Alex Deller
Sharp, energetic Flag-influenced hardcore here from the ever-reliable Grave Mistake stable. Each of the nine songs linger around the minute mark, snarky guitars jolting and jostling alongside surly yet clearly-enunciated vocals and some surprisingly busy basslines. It’s all very enjoyable, but the sound itself is a touch too spindly and lightweight to really propel You’re Screwed into the ranks of true punk rock greatness, lacking the kind of mighty heft that’d allow otherwise cracking songs like Another Day or Sick Sick Boredom to really tear your head off.
