An unwelcome return of the worst format ever. Luckily Ampere are on it, and Ampere are the monster kings of a genre full of losers, nogoodniks, bums and halfwits. Two songs on here
that completely detonate – non stop krazy krazy screaming and rabid emo violence. 10 minutes of this and you would sweat yourself to death. Ampere have succeeded where few
others can in 2005 : they make playing the brutal 1 minute long emo violence song feel vital. All power to them, I don’t know how they do it. KILLER.
Welcome the Plague Year is not a band I have particularly enjoyed prior to today, and today does not change this. Its the familiar blend of ramshackle screamo and fast pounding
instruments. Lacks all the excitement of Ampere and leaves me unmoved. The lyrics are better than the music.
This 5″ is plainly lost, and seeking directions to 1999 where it will be taken in by a friendly face (Witching Hour) and released back into the community after a lengthy period
of rehabilitation. Fucking listen to that Ampere though. Shitting hell!
