This is a cute looking cd, I hope it is nice indie pop.
Ok, it is almost. I am a bit baffled really, it sounds like fairly straight forward, fuzzy lo-fi indie-pop with
electric guitars and some “woo-ooh” vocals and some snarly frontman vocals and female backups. The second song is
about a dog, “which dog is a smelly dog” go the lyrics. And they sing making dog noises. I am utterly lost here.
I would guess this band is like Fonda 500, but not as good. I saw Fonda 500 once in Holland, and was pretty
drunk. Me and this guy called Ross danced a lot and we all bought their cd. Ok, the last song on this is “Pamela
Anne” which is acoustic with a bit of unusual singing, and the girl is laughing whilst singing, I think they
recorded it on a Fisher Price tape recorder. Absurd. It finishes when it sounds like it still was carrying on.
HUH?
So. I have no idea what this band is trying to do, who they play shows with, or how serious they are. These are
probably all good things! I think. They appear to be from Bury St. Edmunds, which explains a whole fucking lot by
the way. Thanks for sending this, whoever was responsible, I enjoyed the whole absurdity of it all even if
musically I was left scratching my head.
