The forth in Aphex’s “Analord” series is again pretty great. The Aphex market is getting a bit flooded though, and I’m starting to not enjoy his records as much, purely as there’s too much out there!!
All four cuts on here are good but they are kind of destined to be stuck in limbo. They’re not the kind of tunes that will get played out so unless you cane all the twelves you’ll have to wait till the inevitable cd collection (and stuff like this always sounds better on a single).
This is a good single though, and it stands on its on as an average-ok Aphex Twin release and whilst all this “Analord” material isn’t half as good as some of his past material it’s still a worthwhile listen.
