The first time I heard Bola I wasn’t impressed at all, I thought it was like Tricky or something. I think I only got it because it was on Skam and it was only a single. Then someone made me check out their last cd whilst I was working and it grew on me so much (and it looked fucking great) even though it did still have a slight trip hop feel to it at times the dark electronics seemed to work so much better on that release.
This is a re-issue of an older record (Im afraid I don’t know when from) which I had only seen once (for £110!!) and it’s lovely. It’s a bit boring at times but if your in the mood its so soothing. It’s one of those records you don’t have to think about too much and I don’t mean that as a put down at all. I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd sides of this LP more than the rest of it.
This has been remastered as well apparently and has some fucking gorgeous artwork.
