Caesar Soze - Travis Cut - split - CD (1999)

Labels: Fuxony
Review by: Russell Opie

A fantastic split CD single featuring the ska-punk tunes of Caeser Soze from Tokyo, backed with London’s finest, Travis Cut. My only gripe with this being that there are no lyrics whatsoever. So its a good thing, the music rocks!

Firstly, Caeser Soze offer up two tracks of infectious trumpet/horn/sax fueled punk-rock. Very impressive and I’m definately looking forward to the bands future releases. They have potential to be amazingly amazing. As demonstrated on their first song “Bobby”. This is seriously cool sounding stuff!

Meanwhile, Travis Cut give us (what I believe to be) two new songs!! What can I say? Its Travis Cut. They’re always great. My favourite of the two – “18 Again” which is more catchy, upbeat, punk-rock done in that special Travis Cut style. Not quite their best stuff, but still great. Overall, this is a really happy, smiley, feel-good release! Highly recommended….
