First impressions are as nondescript as this record turns out to be, their pig-ugly sleeve like some kind of natural warning against sampling what’s inside. Once you slap the wax to the slipmat and lower the needle it’s all rather metal, with one riff at least sounding strangely akin to something James Hetfield might’ve churned out a long, long before he checked into Betty Ford or gloated about shooting mammals in the face. Peppering these metallic outbursts we have discordant elements, somewhere between a pisspoor (early) Drowningman or a diabolical version of the Swing Kids, all laced with a decent enough raspy yell that fits the bill well enough but won’t necessarily ensure repeated listens.
