Labels: Snuffy Smile

Now this is hotly anticipated by a few people I should think (particularly with the unofficial 10th Collective kid, Simon Graver. Aft’noon Simon). A while back this band had a split 7″ with Discount, and that had an amazing song by them on it. So for Snuffy Smile to finally issue them a 7″ on their own is an exciting prospect.
Luckily, the Cig-man have figured out their most endearing point: the unfeasibly cute, girl vocals. These are airily sung over nothing out of the ordinary poppy / emoey melodic punk that I guess you could liken as a cross between Discount and the Get Up Kids. And very bouncy and happy go lucky it all is. Guitars buzz in a typically Snuffy Smile fashion, but one of them seems a bit hidden in the mix.
3 songs all told, all cute, all rocking, all pop. Not going to blow you away, but not going to disappoint you either. Still, I could certainly see myself playing it 10 times in a row if I hadn’t got 2001 other records that I had only played once to listen to. Good good, yup.
