These olde Finish kings blew apart both the church in Leeds and the Nottingham Rescue Rooms recently (killing off the Oxes for good hopefully). This new 12″ is a live performance from last year at Bar Mary. It glides in and out effortlessly from tribal folk-outs to space age synths not unlike those of prime Tangerine Dream, but don’t think Circle are boring hippies, they are fucking heavy when they want to be. Once Circle have found a riff to build on they do so, again and again and again. The only downside to this record is that you don’t get to see their heavy metal faces staring at you in some trance-like state.
