Despite their crap name, this e.p manages to deliver 6 tracks of great lowbrow slime that harks back to early Jesus Lizard/GVSB/Big Black. While it’s not super original, this record has some kind of charm to it. Most bands who try to recreate this sound usually miss the point and end up glorifying it’s geeky aspects, which usually means that the band ends up being dull and unpowerful.
Clockcleaner on the other hand have an attitude, which I like, and it has this vibe about it that is PUNK, which I’m totally down with. It also screams SUPER TIGHT LIVE BAND. Nothing new, but if I was wasted I would turn it up pretty loud and it would probably rule.
