Partway between the snarl and swagger of Rocket From the Crypt’s brass-heavy punk and the widdly, horn-tooting post-hardcore of Sweep The Leg Johnny, Cougars seem to miss the mark on both counts, the only surprising thing about their music being that a band with so many members can’t eke a good song out between them.
