These guys keep getting written up as “the Japanese Dillinger Four” which I think is highly unfair. They are vaguely similar, like, they have the same pummeling bass sound, but apart from that about I guess the only similarity is that they play hard rocking poppy punk with political ideals. Very well.
Opening song “Our Democracy Got Lost” is pretty D4 though, some of the melodies sound sa if they could have been culled from various “Midwestern…” songs, but that’s probably just coincidence. This is probably the weakest of the 5 songs on this EP. “Revolution” is a really cool instrumental. Following that is “Aufruf An Adolf” which is brilliant. Really bouncy and fast paced melodic punk rock with supreme chanty back ups and good judge of pace.
Also we have “Raise The Fist You Clench”, which is totally toe-tapping and exactly how I want my melodic punk bands to sound. Anyway, we end on “Declined” rounds things off in fitting speedy style.
I guess these guys is going to be very very good pretty soon, but this is a fine start.
