Yes. I understand bands often have to have these accompanying press release big up things but it doesn’t make them any less annoying. Especially when they call singing ‘vocal duties’. Ach. It’s actually not a bad album this, though. It is pretty varied and has some really awesome moments.’We Still Believe’ sounds like early Get Up Kids meets Texas is the Reason, and ‘Raising the Stakes’ is a great spikey, yelpy 90 seconds of pop punk. There is a really good mix of poppy, bouncy singalong bits and more mathy, heavier sections and although the album a bit hit and miss from track to track, it’s promising and it’s probably the case that one or two songs will make their way onto mixtapes this summer. It has some melodic punk bits and nice mid-west sounding bits that work much better than when they try and be more shouty.
