Discipline - Downfall Of The Working Man - CD (2005)

Labels: Thorp
Review by: Alex Deller

What I know about streetpunk could be written in a very tiny book with a very large crayon, so it’s perhaps unkind for me to say anything about this at all. Oh well. These chaps sound very tough and play butch, oi-influenced melodic punk rock with chugging guitars and manly gang back-ups. It’s all extremely meat-and-potatoes and prone to leaving me slightly embarrassed that grown men are capable of writing songs like Red and White Army or When I’m Dancing I Ain’t Fightin’, but there we go. Maybe these guys are the prizewinning specimens of their particular pickle patch, but to me it just sounds like a load of silly old tosh.
