Eedl - Parallemped - 12

This here 12″ is 4 tracks of what initially seemed to be run of the mill, generic whirr-click-buzz electronica to my ears. Infact, when I put it on the first couple of times I would run away screaming “TOO MANY BEATS, TOO MANY BEATS!” what with I myself being personally accustomed to the more pleasant and melodic tones of this genre. But through slinging it on the turntable a few more times I have come to enjoy Eedl (I think that’s what it says on the cover) rather more than that. Be it the 12″ I stick on to just to thud into my headphone shielded ears after the alcohol has worked it’s magic and dulled the senses, or whether it’s the record I place a tad more gently on the turntable when I am not in the mood for words or emotions and just need some form of music to bump away in the background and drown out the silence, I have decided that this is actually really good. If you are dig Arovane and Opiate, yet are not overwhelmed by the sheer number of whir-click-buzz melodic electronica records that you own which go beat-beat-pop-cloink and sound like the soundtrack to Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam then you’ll right dig Eedl and their noodlingly fzzzt sounds.
