WHY? WHY FRAGGING SEND THIS TO FRAGGING COLLECTIVE? WHY? Maybe there was a rumour going round that we have been bought out by Punktastic or something. Well let me tell you something and allay your fears, that is certainly not true! In fact, I will use this opportunity to exclusively reveal that we have been bought by Drowned Insound, and they are going to force me to go back and edit my Kaiser Chiefs reviews to say something nice.
Or perhaps whoever sent this CD was at the Marquee the other day where I was playing pool with Simon and Ian and reminiscing about when they used to play Sum 41, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, and Good Charlotte at the local indie disco. Fall Out Boy are the latest in that annoyingly long line of EMOTIONAL PUNK bands, who play punk, but wait for it – they do it EMOTIONALLY! Seriously, you know exactly how this record sounds so I have absolutely no need to explain it to you whatsoever. Also, they have the shittest song titles ever. Really, absolutely shit ones.
Look, do you like those bands I mentioned ealier? If you do, then buy this cd, you will fucking love it. Its all catchy and melodic and has those EMOTIONAL PUNK vocals. If I was at the indie disco then I’d be into this with my air guitar and shirt tugging, but I am not, I am at home, it is 9am on a bank holiday, it is raining really bad, and the guys vocals are getting right on my teets.
