I don’t know about you guys, but lately I’ve been very confused about music.
Everyone is heralding the White Stripes as the best band of the decade.
Punk rock bands are being manufactured. Even 80’s glam is back in, for gods
sake. How the fuck does that happen? Thank god for Fall Out Boy.
Make no mistake – this is pop-punk, and will undoubtedly appeal to fans of
Good Charlotte and New Found Glory. But there is no better pop-punk record
that has hit the streets in the last 8 years or so. Not even close.
It’s straight forward enough, two guitarists, easy-on-the-ears vocals, and
an AMAZING drummer. But the quality of the songs makes this record stand
way, way out. It took a couple of listens to get into it, but now I can’t
get it out of my car stereo, no matter what.
Blisteringly good. If you can handle pop-punk, you’ll love it. If you
adore pop-punk, this will absolutely be your record of the year.
Blinding.
