Like stepping into a waking coma. Brooding drones and vague, tingling guitars underscore haunting female vocals, giving the impression that some lost phantom is struggling to reach the dim light at the end of the tunnel. Beautiful yet deeply unsettling, weighted with a suggestion that something is very wrong indeed, like whispers of a great tragedy looming on the horizon or buried somewhere in the recent past. In just under twenty minutes a wistful elegy unfolds, casting shadows of a brooding, sorrowful limbo housing spirits that just can’t rest.
