Another great release from the GoGoGo band. If you haven’t heard them yet they play dancy punk rock. It#s got really indie parts, really dubby parts, really garage parts and a warbbbly vocalist. Imagine a mish mash of the following bands/artists: Slits, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Gang Of Four, Television, Throbbing Gristle, Birthday Party and a hundred more probably.
This album doesnt really have any standout tracks (although their most recent 7″ does) but it’s just such a well written album. Its really well recorded (all over the place!) and has a new suprise everytime I listen to it.
It’s got really basic guitar songs with beautiful melodic guitar parts (like the end of track two) which are perfect for the upcoming Summer. This album kind of reminds me of the Liars album, so maybe some big label will pick up on GoGoGoAirheart now (even though GSL is kind of a big label now i guess), I think they deserve it. They are better than the Hives and certainly better than the fucking Libertines! I think theyre coming over in October so make sure to check em out!
