This 7″ is fucking amazing!!! Jeeezuus! So much better than either of their albums! The first track is an awesome dance punk track…it just makes me want to dance. The guitar line is so damn funky and the guys voice sounds brilliant on this record. There is an underlying dub feel to this too which is always good. If you haven’t heard GogogoAirheart before they are kind of Factory Records influenced punk. They sound really English, like the Pop Group or Gang Of Four. This record actually sounds like a record from that era though rather than a record mimicking one of that era.
Another band that really comes to mind is the Slits. I don’t think Gogogo sound like the Slits very much its just the way the song sounds almost continued on the other side (or a different version) reminds me of the man next door 7″ that the Slits did (and that was a fucking great 7″!).
This looks nice as well, basic cover (very bright!) and lovely coloured vinyl.
I cant recommend this enough.
