I certainly wouldn’t say I know or understand the situation that Mike Hale (Vocals/Guitar) from GUNMOLL faces in his daily life, but reading an interview with him in AMP magazine (Issue #2) , there’s a sincerity that eminates from his responses to the interviewers questions that captures something in my heart. He comments that ‘…most of this record, just a guy realising that he was less than he hoped for’. Although our situations may well be different there’s certainly something i can relate to in this outlook on life.
This is undoubtedly a band that means something and i feel fortunate to have this opportunity to listen to this album and once again feel an attachment to not only a collection of songs but also the things that stand behind them.
