I was pretty surprised when I heard this was coming out, I thought they split ages ago and that there was no more material left. But Hand Held Heart has turned up 3 more songs of their blasting hardcore, and chucked them on a one sided 7″, the other side etched by Neil Burke. I don’t have titles or anything, but the first and third tracks are pretty damn cracking. The first is the longest, and perhaps a little less crazy than their earlier efforts. Still tinged with the obvious Born Against comparisons, with those familiar pissed off vocals. Fast and tight to start off with, it also slows things down and reminds me of Imbalance in a way. Typically energetic and frantic in the most part though. The second track is too short and feels like an incomplete track, bursting out of the blocks and disappearing before you know it. And they finish on a really short one too, but it has a fuckin’ cool moshy groove (no metal) to go nuts to whilst they crush the drums. Boom.

By far and away one of the better hardcore bands of the late 90s, own all Hail Mary’s records and be super cool. OK?
