Hero Dishonest - Let Your Poison Scream - CD (2004)

Labels: If Society
Review by: Kunal Nandi

Hero Dishonest’s wonderful live show (imagine two short Finnish men trying to out-floorpunch each other, along with lots of gurning) is more than equalled by their third full-length of thrash hardcore so hectic, that it barely keeps up with itself. Not to belittle the powerful nature of the music, but the fun side of things seems to be foremost with Hero Dishonest. Whenever the all-out dual-vocalled THRASH ATTAKK collides into a rocked-out stomping section, it rules so much that it makes you feel like Hero Dishonest are the only band that need to exist, they are that good at it. These breaks in the chaos aren’t cheap-shot attempts at radio-friendly hooks and choruses, because they fit in totally with all the mental bits, which are even strangely tuneful in their own demented Scandinavian way. Great lyrics too, of course. 16 songs in 22 minutes go go GO GO GOOOOO!!!!!
