Inme - So You Know - CD (2005)

Labels: Major
Review by: Andy Malcolm

WHAT THE FUCK. I thought that the PR companies were beginning to wise up – the amount of

unmitigated dross that was falling through the letterbox and on to my doorstep had begun to decrease, some

slightly better targeted CDs (and even a few 7″!) were being sent through. I was starting

to let down my guard. And then. AND THEN! SOME MORAN SENDS US BLOODY INME! Saints alive!

Maybe they thought we’d be into it because the cd is black and has grooves on it, to

make it look like a record. Fuck that shit. I put it on my turntable and it sounded

10000000 times better than the actual crock of bollocks that came out of my PCs speakers

when I stuck it in the CDROM drive. INME play utterly uninspired MTVmo, you know the drill

– lots of slick production, simple verses that chug into the “beefy” chorus where they

get all emotional baby. Basically it sounds like a Get Up Kids song structure that has been

filtered through cheesey 80s rock and bad grunge to get a sound which is so totally missing

this websites target that I am starting to wonder if this was just a case of someone

sending it in for a laugh.

Look : Collective is not the place to send MTVmo for review. Do not send this, do not send

the Kaiser Chiefs, do not send Clor, do not send anything that is fucking rubbish. Thanks.
