John Weise of Bastard Noise, Sissy Spacek and Man Is The Bastard is one sick fucker. He generally goes for a sick noise track which is always somewhere between the throbbing noise of an instrumental Whitehouse track infused with Christian Fennesz when he isn’t writing guitar ballads for David Sylvian. Pretty brutal. This track features lots of sounds of stuff falling about, getting smashed and random spurts of white noise. Die Yellow Swans on the other hand are noisy in a very different sense, they take the industrial side of the whole noise rock scene like the Swans, Coil and Throbbing Gristle and give it the ever so slightly man-rock feel of someone like Oxbow or Crash Worship but filtered through some nasty beat led noise. A fucking excellent record, especially Die Yellow Swans who were new to me.
