Junior Asthma Club - demo - CDR (2003)

Labels: self released
Review by: Martin Brown

A great demo from a UK band has become something missing from my listening repertoire of late, and hearing this has made me realise how much I’d been wanting that void filled. This is really, really good. I saw this lot live in Croydon a while back, and remember being impressed but thinking some tightening up and some of that magic confidence that seems to hit a band after a few months of being together would make them something very cool indeed. This demo seems to have hit both nails on the head, and this is a splendid thing. Oh yes.

JAC sound like a cross between Small Brown Bike and Travis Cut with occasional hints of Thursday hitting in. It’s a pleasant mix to listen to. There’s not really a lot more to say, in all honesty. There are three songs, they’re very well put-together, and you should either go and see them or check out their site, where the songs are available for dl. That, my friend, can be found here: http://www.juniorasthmaclub.cjb.net
