Kaospilot - For Your Safety - 7

Labels: Last Effort – Nova
Review by: Alex Deller

The labels on the record say that this plays at 45rpm. They must lie. Because that would just be inhuman.

Six songs splashed across seven inches of wax, that’s three per side all sounding like the bastard children of Acme and Neil Perry. Bremen heaviness tempered with the twists and turns of emo chaos, jarring discords like glass smashed in your face and vocals torn shrieking from the darkest of souls. No twinkles, no niceties, just fucking noise all the way with only the slightest pauses for breathe along the way. Those being the spaces between songs and the occasional mumbled passage.

Song fodder includes wasting your life by watching dumb American tv shows, the hell that is 9-5 employment and plastic surgery.

Nice, but nothing bed-wettingly incredible. Just one of the myriad records like this I’ve been buying in an attempt to fill the space that Witching Hour left behind.
