This is totally fucking magnificent! This demo unleashes six songs of killer metal-hardcore, reminiscent of Mastodon on a more melodic old-skool tip. Combine that with the noisy sensibilities you might associate with other bands from their native Chicago, and you’ve got a top-notch release. For a demo, it shows an amazing amount of promise. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the band have come roaring out the traps fully-fledged and ready to destroy everything in its wake. It’s even packaged nicely, in a cardboard sleeve like the first Shellac CD.
This trio also feature Pelican’s Larry Herweg on drums, but really, this band more than stand on their own merits. Like I said – totally fucking magnificent.
