This album is from the Long Island scene of 2002 and was released on traffic violation. Now I don’t know what would have been better, to be out of print and unnoticed on that label but have credibility to the 200 people who own the lp or to be released on Deep Elm (COMPLETE WITH HOLE PUNCH AGAIN, WHEN WILL YOU LEARN), reach a wider audience, but be released on Deep Elm… ahaha. The only good thing is that at least it’s not another “emo” band, or indie or whatever they are peddling kids to buy now.
It is heartfelt, fast at times (but never slow) and dirty gruff punk. Kind of like the Florida sound of Gunmoll crossed with the long island sound of The Insurgent but faster and much more urgent and inspiring than either. This is really awesome, 10 tracks perfect length, it definitely deserved to be re-released so many more kids can listen to it. Best release on Deep Elm for a LONG time, well worth picking up. I am gladly surprised, and I’ll eat my cake while listening to this, hah!
