Review by: Ian Cavell

There are four songs on this 7″ but only one of them made any lasting impression. That was the last track, ‘sunday, but hours away’, which despite being fairly generic is still a great, uplifting song. But for the most part, this 7″ is fairly ordinary, stop-start twinkle-twinkle, whisper-whisper, yell-yell emo-rock. Its not bad, but it didn’t enthuse me to write a glowing review either. Emo-rock has gone the same way as pop-punk, ie there are too many bands playing the same style of music. So now the stakes are raised, you have to be extra special to avoid being sucked down with the dirge and I think, in this respect, Leiah are struggling to say afloat.
