The Liars incredibly sound like Gang Of Four without actually sounding like any of their tracks. This is a fucking awesome single, the main song has some wicked ACR / Gang Of Four drum beats over crazed yelping and screeching guitars. The second track sounds like a great mix of Black Dice and Sonic Youth, it’s very noisy indeed!!! You can see how dance acts like LCD get involved with post punk bands like The Rapture, The Liars and Radio 4 as the beats are almost dance beats. Now with bands like Outhud bridging the gap even more dj’s around the globe might be playing this kind of crazed no-wave dance punk in all the house clubs! Maybe not; but Natalie said they played The Rapture at the Bomb the other day which is just fucking weird. The packaging on this is lovely as well, get this single!
