The indie rock fellows rejoice. The same week Cross my Heart split up (good news), Low release a new 7″ (good news).
‘Dinosaur Act’ is presumably taken from Low’s forthcoming album, and judging by this it could well be their best yet. This song is easily on a par (or possibly even better) with anything on last years “Secret Name”. Is sounds less minimalistic than usual too with strings and a trumpet aside the usual guitar, bass, one snare drum and cymbal line up. Flip it over and you have ‘Overhead’, a usual atmospheric Low peice with what sounds like an aircraft taking off in the background.
This is top class indie rock, the likes of which can be found for 99p in Virgin.
