Mêlée - Everyday Behavior - CD (2004)

Labels: Sub City
Review by: Andy Malcolm

This is 45 minutes long. Sometimes I hate doing reviews of stuff we get sent because

it’s so long. I wish we only got sent stuff by good bands, or if it is stuff by not

good bands at least have the courtesy to only send a single. Meh.

Anyway, this band plays catchy rock music, the first song is not to dissimilar to

that song that goes GAY BAR GAY BAR, I guess they thought that by sounding a bit

like a popular song that maybe someone would like them. Or maybe not, it could just

be a coincidence. Track two is a fairly nice catchy song that has keyboards. The

third song is like some shitty Brit-pop band covering the modern day Get Up Kids or

modern day Jimmy Eat World. I was pretty bored by this point though.

This isn’t too bad really, but man alive, I can’t listen to something this straight

forward and radio friendly for nigh on forty five minutes. It’s ok for about 5 or 6.

Then I just get bored and want to put on something exciting. I can’t give up 45

minutes of my life in the name of reviewing some band that doesn’t do remotely

anything for me. 10 was more than enough. 45 would be absurd. So I am going to turn it

off now. I hope that more shitty bands who send stuff in read this review and realise how “un-professional” I am. For fucks sake.
