Four songs on here. Starts off with downbeat twinkling like they are going to sound like Funeral Diner or Portrait, and I guess the band is in that fashion – though much more Frenchy (although the band is German I think) like Peu Etre or Amanda Woodward. Good good! Initially there are sung vocals but it changes, so hoarse wrenched screaming parts are the order of the day on the first track. And very solid it is too for a demo. There are two tracks in the middle that a much shorter, but follow the same template – mid paced, melodic songs with desperate vocals and Yaphet Kotto style guitar chugging. The final song weighs in at a hefty 6:25. Cripes. Its a slowburner, but still keeps the same style as they had on the rest of the EP. Gradually building up over the duration.
Overall, this is a good solid demo, nothing too remarkable but a band worth keeping an eye out for if you like the European emo style. Note for Jochen – Felix used a cooler font than you. Sorry.
