Bit of a shock when I put the Manuela Krause side on. The music sounds a bit like Pole, dubby electronica (although this has maybe more going on than Pole usually have)…..but! Manuela Krause has these crazy German vocals over it. Female vocals (pretty deep) singing/talking in German. Even though this is 45rpm it totally sounds like someone like Fischerspooner on the wrong speed! I think if this side was instrumental I’d like this side quite a lot but as it stands its a bit shit.
I had only heard one Pole record before I got this (the yellow lp), I found it pretty boring to be honest. I got this on the recommendation from several people that Pole took a bit of time. I thought maybe the LP I had was a duff one. I’m glad I got this cuz it’s much better than any of the tracks on that lp. It sounds a bit like the excellent Dub Tractor. Spacey dubby electronica. Imagine Autechre doing a dub track? Worth picking up I think.
