Oh young boys and the music they make. This is a bit lost on me because I’m an old git. The band plays melodic and rocking post-hardcore with strongly sung vocals. It’s not really that bad, I think that’s because it hasn’t had the heart beaten out of it by the lure of the Top 40. I don’t really know much about the modern bands playing sort of thing, although I like the bassline on the overly repetitive opener. The guitars are very simple and they have familiar riffs and some parts are similar to At the Drive In. I bet they are big fans of Million Dead. Hmm. The cookie cutter has produced rather stale cookies to be honest. And the 3rd song is rotten. I think Misterhall should listen to Texas is the Reason and Sunny Day Real Estate a bit more, to find that extra to level of inspiration. They get bonus points for having played a venue called “Kingston Fighting Cocks” though. I think Misterhall will appeal to a number of people, but probably not to you personally. Sorry Misterhall, I feel a bit bad because on the press release somebody wrote “please review us” in biro, which was very polite of them, and I’ve just been mean throughout the review. I suck.
