Modest Mouse - The Moon And Antarctica - CD (2000)

Labels: Major
Review by: Luke Younger

Modest Mouse return with their latest record. Quirky indie rock is always on the agenda from this American trio who always seem to make their records a little bit different from their previous ones, which I like a lot. This one is a lot more stripped down, but probably their best yet I’d say. Opener “3rd Planet” is very Built to Spill while “Tiny Cities Made Of Ashes” has some 70s groove thing going on. “Dark Center Of The Universe” and “The Stars are Projectors” are also just two really amazing songs. One of the best bands in US right now, and a record that you really should add to your collection.
