Mulligan Stu - Do the Kids Wanna Rock - CD (2000)

Labels: Boss Tuneage
Review by: Mark Skold

You know what? I love pop-punk. It’s really great. It’s loud, it’s fun, it’s jumpy and it usually makes you smile, often because the lyrical content is so goofy. Mulligan Stu fit into this equation very well. Mulligan Stu are one of the Ramone-esque bands, a la Screeching Weasel or the Queers. Really cool, fun 2 minute blasts of pop charged super tunes. Now that’s a mouthful….

This is a lovely album. It’s got all the right ingredients of a lovely album, cool tunes, that are way catchy. The singer sounds kinda like the guy from the Suicide Machines.

Unfortunately, this is where I run out of stuff to say. The songs are cool, but they’re not wonderful. A worthy addition to a pop-punkers CD collection, but it probably won’t win any medals or anything.
