I don’t want to like this because the cover is rubbish and there is an nme sticker adorning it stating “genius!”. But enough of my stupid quirks because this is ok. It starts out really moody with twinkling and when proper guitars come in it gets a bit worse. Then a wah wah guitar noodles a bit of bollox for a couple of minutes, then twinkling again. Then a jazz bit, then blah blah blah. Where the genius comes into it evades me, I’m sorry. It gets a bit faster towards the end but its still pants. 10 minutes of my life wasted.
Tracks two and three are acoustic but still a bit rubbish. I suppose (and true comparisons won’t be my forte here) if you are proper into Mogwai, Slint, Godspeed and loads of quirky long drawn out music then you might get something out of this. Although I am a fan of those bands and I couldn’t get a thing. Oh one thing, the title is cool.
