Release number two in the Mother Stoat singles club. I hope they get better than this.
Not quite sure what’s going on with Off Target. Melodic punk rock perhaps in the Leatherface vein, particularly with the hoarse vocals. There’s also an element of Snuff, and perhaps some rock ‘n’ roll like Rocket from the Crpyt. It’s all, like, OK, but nothing special.
Winner, I have heard before. And not been impressed yet. At least they have the singing up to the right volume this time. “Winnipig” is snotty vocalled, US style pop punk. Slow verses and fast choruses. Can you say ‘so what’? Terminally average.
Off Target – mildly interesting. Winner – a band that purely exists to allow pop punk kids to see an immitation of their favourite US bands more often.
